I like problems where the business and the technology are tangled together. I start companies to solve them, and I build the systems that keep them running.

I've worked in technology since 2009 and started companies since 2015, in Tunisia and in the UK, with more than 700 clients across them. Today I'm building my own software products: an abuse-routing API, a financial-records assistant and a community support platform. I work hands-on with AI in the loop. I write the specification and the architecture, build with AI coding tools, and review, test and ship what reaches production.

How I work

Four rules I keep.

Decide before building.

Feasibility, scope and specification come before code.

Say what you don't know.

Every answer carries its evidence and its uncertainty. Docavo flags what the rules can't settle, and AbuseRoute says when a CDN hides the host.

Design for the worst moment.

People use important things under stress, so HelpRouter's emergency mode has five buttons.

Own the result.

From the business model to production, someone has to answer for it.

Background

Where it began.

I began as a developer in Gafsa at Blue Trident, then worked at the Microsoft Innovation Center, then joined a digital agency in Tozeur working on projects for clients such as Le Nouvel Obs and on medical platforms, before moving into leading technical teams. During the revolution I co-launched two independent radio stations, El Djerid FM and Palm Radio.

I co-founded WAPPDEV in 2015 and founded WWTranslators and WWT Technology in 2018, then moved to London and started WAPPDEV UK. Earlier ventures include Handsa, an online community for architecture and home improvement, and two short-lived technology companies, iTeq and Trafficode. I speak Arabic, French and English, and I founded the Tunisian Overlander, a community for off-road travel.
